This enzyme is a Bacillus subtilis related serine protease that has been bioengineered and can hydrolyze a variety of peptide bonds. It has high activity in a variety of buffer solutions. Through gene site mutation, yeast cell secretory expression and chromatographic purification, thermosensitive protease K has improved its specific activity and purity, does not contain bacterial endotoxin, and has a wider range of applications than natural protease K. The enzyme loses its activity above 60 ℃.
